Registered Trademark ("™")
A protected mark which may contain a words and/or symbols that is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office under the class of goods or services for which it is used.

Registration Mark ("®")
The symbol "®" which is used to identify a word, symbol or website registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Renewal
Period of time following the initial Term of a License Agreement during which the License Agreement may be extended. Renewals can sometimes be automatically granted at the end of the initial term if the licensee meets certain established financial or sales targets during the initial term.

Reputation

Retail Price
The unit price, determined at the retailer's discretion, that a consumer pays to obtain licensed merchandise.

Returns
Licensed merchandise which has been sent back to the licensee by the retailer for any reason whatsoever.

Rights
Authorization given by the licensor to the licensee for the use of the licensor's brand, logo or mark on a specified product or service to be sold in a specific territory or channels of distribution and for a specified period of time.

Royalties
The monies that are paid to a licensor by the licensee in exchange for the right to use the licensor's licensed property. Royalties are calculated by multiplying the royalty rate by net sales.

Royalty Rate
A percentage of net sales which is to be paid to the licensor by the licensee in exchange for the right to use licensed property.

Royalty Relief

Royalty Report
A statement of sales, deductions, and earned royalties of the preceeding period prepared by the licensee to be given to the licensor.
