F.O.B. (Free on Board)
A term that implies that the buyer of goods will take title to and arrange to pay for the shipment and insurance of the purchase goods from the time the goods reach the seller's home port. Specifically in licensing, FOB refers to the point at the licensees location when the retailer takes delivery of the licensed merchandise. The retailer is responsible for the expenses related to shipping, insurance and customs.
