Pete grew up in a Roman Catholic Italian American family. As one of eight children his parents taught him and his siblings the values of hard work, integrity, perseverance and servitude. These values helped Pete graduate as valedictorian of his high school class and led him to attend college at the United States Naval Academy. While earning a degree in Physics, the academy further shaped Pete's character and honed his leadership skills.
After graduation Pete attended the Navy's Flight School in Pensacola, FL and went on to become an award-winning Naval Aviator. After completing his service obligation, Pete earned his MBA from the University of North Carolina before starting his business career. Pete served in the Navy Reserves for another nine years, finally retiring at the rank of Commander. Pete's personal values and leadership training gained in the US Navy continue to shape the way he approaches his work, his relationships, his life.
Pete is the father of four terrific children. After a long courtship, Pete finally married the love of his life, Emily Manne, in April 2009. They live together in Atlanta, GA.
